Norman Gage/Kenny Reed Quintet
Baritone saxophonist Norman Gage has kept Hartford swinging for decades leading small ensembles in addition to his celebrated big band. Trumpeter Kenny Reed was a longtime DC-area legend before our region had the tremendous good fortune to become his base. Tonight they join forces to lead one of our favorite quintets. Hartford straight-ahead at its best!

Steve Davis & Friends
$5 cover. Globe-trotting trombonist Steve Davis began his career by joining the working bands of such jazz luminaries as Art Blakey, Jackie McLean & Chick Corea. In recent years he's been an essential ingredient in the Dizzy Gillespie Tribute Big Band, Jimmy Heath Big Band and Ron Carter Big Band, in addition to co-leading the widely acclaimed all-star sextet One For All. Come hear why Hartford's own Stevie D is one of the busiest, most recorded trombonists in jazz today.

January 30
Pete LeBlanc's George Benson Tribute
Baritone saxophonist Pete LeBlanc is well-known throughout the region both for superb musicianship and his "Making The Changes" radio program. This killin' quintet of young guns will play music from two classic late 60's releases by guitar great George Benson, "The Cookbook" and "It's Uptown". Come to Sally's for a night stuffed with tunes served up hot, drenched with groovy soul!
